The Girl Who Waited

I remembered. It was December. Bright daylight was shining and stuff like that. You held my hand, and I held yours. It felt like we can never be apart, with all those sprinkles and butterflies we read about in romance novels or those cheesy melodramatic TV series we watched on TV. But somehow it did, or I thought it did. But still I waited, on the very same spot we last kissed. I still remembered those Smokey stained smiles you gave me; it would make my heart flutter like no other could do.

It started as somewhat gray, and the air moist. It felt the sky was about to rain. Still I waited on the same spot, our spot. A single drop of rain tickled my nose, and the air grew cold. Still I waited on our spot, our dear spot. Those daring brown eyes of yours were we first held our eyes together in a deep embrace. Never letting go, the grip was still strong and hard.

The storm poured, never giving any sign of stopping. I still again waited, on our spot. Never giving in to a little dash of rain, for the wait was worth it. Just to see that beautiful face again, I’m never giving in my love, I know you’ll come. Like every day, on those sweet summer days. Were we used to pick the flowers in the garden, even they say no. even I say no. still you gave me one, it matches my eyes you said. For I, was beautiful as the flower did.

The cold swept covered me unto my very bones, my dress wet from the rain. Today was the day, we were supposed to… They never approved of you, of me being with you, of us. Our love was like bamboo, whatever the adversary, we had overcome it. It felt like we were the modern Romeo and Juliet, two elite houses, both within greatness and grace. But we were not like them, Romeo and Juliet I mean, we shall live like those two inseparable hearts, bound together for eternity, in life or even death itself.

I know you’ll come. I know you are coming. I know I must wait. Wait on our dear spot. Never wanting, never leaving. For there is no life I know without you. I am never leaving, Ted. I know you are coming, within the cold and pouring rain. Ted, I wait for you. And you wait for me. I love you ted, I knew youll wait for me.

With Love,

Grace

Motivation

Motivation Theories

Motivation is a theoretical construct used to explain behavior. It represents the reasons for people’s actions, desires, and needs. Motivation can also be defined as one’s direction to behavior or what causes a person to want to repeat a behavior and vice versa. A motive is what prompts the person to act in a certain way or at least develop an inclination for specific behavior.

Overall, the basic perspective on motivation looks something like this:

In other words, you have certain needs or wants (these terms will be used interchangeably), and this causes you to do certain things (behavior), which satisfy those needs (satisfaction), and this can then change which needs/wants are primary (either intensifying certain ones, or allowing you to move on to other ones).

A variation on this model, particularly appropriate from an experimenter’s or manager’s point of view, would be to add a box labeled “reward” between “behavior” and “satisfaction”. So that subjects (or employees), who have certain needs do certain things (behavior), which then get them rewards set up by the experimenter or manager (such as raises or bonuses), which satisfy the needs, and so on.

The Motivation Cycle

Motivation

motivation

Psychologist believed that Motivation is an inner state that moves an organism towards the fulfillment of one’s goal. Motivation is an internal process that actively guide and maintains behavior. It helps to explain cause of behavior. People engage in various activities even if they are not rewarded as long one is motivated. Motives are the venter of our lives which direct to what we feel, think, feel and act the way we do. The word motivation comes from the Latin word Movere which mean To Move. Motivation emphasizes on internal and external forces that leads us to move. It is synonymously used with word desire, wants, whishes, aims, goals, need etc. Motivation being hypothetical construct, like other cognitive processes cannot be seen or touched but can be referred form observed behaviors.

According to Maslow (the founder of humanistic psychology), every individual has basic needs such as feeding, and higher needs that are cognitive or aesthetic.

Maslow provides a uniform hierarchy of needs based on the idea that if a basic need is not satisfied, it becomes impossible to satisfy more superior needs.

The Trickster

I remember why, I fallen for him. I remembered all those keen eyes, and wreckful smiles, and those sly words. It was a summer afternoon; the sky was sunny with no signs of any possible rain. I was gonna be a good day I said, a good day it was, until I met you. Oh no, you weren’t dark as the night, but you were bright as the summers day, with those great pearly white smiles you would give, no. no one would expect what will you do next, that face so dreamy, so beautiful, like newly baked bread on display for any customer, craving for a taste.

Oh I wish you were mine, and mine alone, but no. you have to fall for that two faced girl. All cheeky and white, all with those pretty blonde curls and her lovely way to twirl. You used her, but you never loved her. I know you craved for something else, or for something more?

The end of that lovely summer day, you would crave for the night. But like you said, you never wanted her. You craved for me, right? I remember the first night, as the bright daylight fade, and lovely twilight came. That’s were I saw you, the real you. The dark night covered the skies into a beautiful dark sapphire. That’s when I saw the glint in your eyes, and remembered not one as the day you portrayed.

You smiled, greedily under the night, like a wolf, waiting patiently for the kill. You were the wolf, and I was the prey. As we arrived, distant and alone, that’s where you finally snapped. You said, you’ll protect me, you’ll take care of me, you said you loved me, and do anything for me and I’ll will for you. That were our tale of love took its turn.

As the midnight came, we made love under the night sky, with every throbbed it felt like we finally became one. We did become one, or so I thought. All the night fade and a new day came. We returned to reality, not last night’s dream that for that dream was now came to a close.

I came home smiling, as if I won the lottery. No I won you, I told myself. I won us, I gave us a chance, I fed myself the lies, all the lovely pale white lies you told, and it took its toll on me, it poisoned me. As if I didn’t know, but I was too love struck for you, and your smiles, and lies. That’s when the worst lies, time pass, you never came back. As if us was just a sweet daydream, and you were still you, with you pretty white smiles.

The calls, the messages, were gone. There was only silence in phone, in my room, and in me. But I still have a remnant from you. It lies, within me. Our love was about to be born, my love. I never guised our lovely child my love, no, I will never my love. I still waited for you to come back, for me, for our child. My parents enraged, told me how shallow I am for giving my v for your d. The thought made me laugh; I told them I love you, more than anything in the world, more than me. I told them you would come back, for our child, or even for me. I miss you darling, but do you miss me?

Today was the day our child was born, my darling. I named him after you. He’s lovely as you, bright as summer’s day, with deep grey eyes. I search for you, to show you our love was meant to be, I cried for you, for our child my darling, but then again, I was just that girl, the one with the pretty blonde curls, and how you love the way I twirled. You used me, and you told me you never loved me. I just had fallen for those sly words. I had fallen for you, with all your tricks, and pretty words. Lovely as the day can be, but not as lovely, as the tricksters pocketful of tricks.

Story of my Coffeelosophies

The Coffeelosophies started on a fine January afternoon in my small school here in the Philippines. When the cool winter breeze was blowing gently upon my face that was when I finally realized I was shivering silently on my solid steel arm chair.
So I took a stand a went out, I was just walking slowly along the corridors the school until i reach the school cafeteria. As i slowly went to the nearest table then i smelled the most intoxicating smell ever. As if it was fresh hot chocolate, but the thing was it wasn’t hot coco but it was a bit more addicting. Then I learned that i was a newly brewed coffee.
I was a bit stunned by the alluring smell, the sweet smell was just too addicting so i brought cup and went back to my seat. As i was still too intoxicated with the beautiful scent I was kept staring silently into the abyss of the coffee. As I finally snapped from my trance as I quickly ordered a single cup of coffee I can back slowly to my seat.
I continued staring silently at my cup of steamy coffee until it started to rain gently among the school grounds, As the daze finally fading I took a sip at the cup and the bittersweet taste quickly took me by the second.
As I continued finishing from my cup, A thought came to me, An interesting idea of some sort. An idea that can be both Interesting and Disastrous in the same time. So took out my orange notebook and quickly wrote down the name and some random topics.
And then Kyle’s Coffeelosophies was born.
